20周年アニバーサリイヤーでの本格再始動を迎えるAIが足元を見つめ直し、次なるフェーズの扉を開こうとした際に自分を育んだHIP HOP/R&Bのサンプリングという手法を用いての楽曲制作。真っ先に辿り着いたのが安室奈美恵さんの「Baby Don’t Cry」。
デビュー20周年の中で、安室奈美恵さんのプロジェクト・SUITE CHICへの参加が、AI自身にとっての大きなターニングポイントになったことに想いを馳せ、この曲をモチーフ・サンプリングする形で、「Baby You Can Cry」という新たなる”友情ソング”を表現した。
「Baby You Can Cry」のミュージックビデオは、都内のスタジオで撮影された。今回のこの楽曲のミュージック・ビデオ撮影にあたってはできる限りシンプルな形で、歌詞メッセージを伝えたいと思い、カメラ1台の前で熱くパフォーマンスする姿を収めた。映像には、楽曲に合わせて、メッセージとなる歌詞が映し出され、AIのパフォーマンスと相まって、深くそのメッセージが伝わる内容となっている。

The music video for “Baby You Can Cry” was shot in a Tokyo studio.In this video recording of the song, I wanted to convey the lyrics message in the simplest way possible, so I took a picture of my performance in front of a camera.In the video, lyrics to be a message are projected according to the music, and the message is transmitted deeply together with the performance of AI.
